Xp Won't Boot

DaveB1

Question

I'm trying to install CD Creator 9 on a Windows XP machine. At the end of the process, when the installer says the machien must be restarted I respond "Yes" and the machine won't boot again, even after a power reset. It looks like it's booting but it just hangs, no error message.

This is a Win XP SP 2 installation, brand new from an image we use for new computers. I've tried refusing the installation offer to reboot and restarted teh machine through the Start command.

I've also wiped the hard drive clean and reinstalled the image.

Same results, everytime. Any suggestions?

Make sure you don't have Defender or any antivirus software running, when you install the software.
