How To Capture Audito From Streaming Audio Off The Internet

Mark R

Question

I have just purchased and installed Creator 10 suite.

I cannot figure out how to record streaming audio off the internet.

I start up "Capture Audio". I have tried various "Capture from " options, but nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

Mark

Are you running XP or Vista? Would you mind sharing some info on your computer specs......especially your sound card info? In Vista, you can use the Sidebar and the Audio Capture gadget. Works great for me using the 'What U Hear' option.

You also open up Music Disc Creator and choose 'Record Audio' but many have had a hard time if they have onboard audio.

Post the info on your systems and let's see what we can come up with.

Thanks for your reply.

I am runnng Windows XP, Media Center Edition Version 2002, SP2.

The sound is "Realtek High Definition audio" (I believe it is on-board, as opposed to a sound card)

Intel pentium 4, 512 MB Ram.

I tried the "Music Disc Creator", but same results.

However, I have just pulled out the speaker cable from the headphone jack, and reinserted. I was prompted to chose from a speaker and headphone icon. I chose the speaker icon, and then the levels became active.

I can now record streaming audio!!

Thanks again "Beerman" for your reply and your williness to help.
