My Latest Menu Design In Mydvd8

ggrussell

Question

To give some of you an idea of what CAN be done in MyDVD 8. Here is a screenshot of my recent DVD project for my nephew. Top is the main menu. Bottom is the 'chapters' submenu. All I did was alter an exsisting style called URBAN with my own backgrounf MPG. Yes, this is a a motion menu and looks great. Got it off the net somewhere. LOL Don't ask me where coz I have really short term memory. :)

How do you go about adding your own background mpg? Is this just a short mpg file you found somewhere? Where do you put it...or do you just say change background and then select the file you downloaded? It looks very intriquing and would make up for the very sparse selection of video menus that are available with EMC8. ULead had a ton! of menu styles with their program...and Roxio won't even allow it as a competitive upgrade for rebate purposes.

If you have the standard or deluxe suite version of EMC8, you should be able to click DVD Menu\Change Menu Background, navigate to any mpeg or still picture you have saved on your hard drive, and then insert that file as the background for the menu. I do not think this feature is available in the Essentials version of EMC8.

Which version of EMC8 do you have? The standard version comes with quite a few. The 'Essentials' version only comes with 3. If you have the standard or deluxe version, please install the Content disc.

You can visit other websites that may have free motion MPG files. These can be used in MyDVD 8.
