Okay one toaster down -

used DVD-ROM setting and created a coaster -

UNKNOWN DISC (in DVD player).

A lot of looks but no answers?

I think iDVD will work but for some reason the 600MB x 2 files become LARGER than 7GB when I add them to the project.

If your TV DVD player is capable of playing DivX discs, then you might consider choosing the "DivX Disc" option under the Video tab. Under Options, leave the setting at "Automatic". That way, if the video you are trying to play on your TV DVD player is not of the standard needed, Toast will re-encode it to make it compatible, and you won't get the UNKNOWN DISC or UNKNOWN TYPE problem. You can also fit many hours of video on a single-sided DVD, although the menu is very basic.

On the other hand, if your TV DVD player cannot play DivX discs, then choose "DVD-video" under the Video tab, and Toast will re-encode the avi files to make them suitable for a standard DVD player. You have full menus, but are limited to about 2+ hours if you want to maintain a decent quality.

These options are explained fully in the Toast Titanium Help file, so you should take a look.
