Help With My Dvd And Importing Video

[Please HELP]

I need help. I installed My DVD 2 years ago when I purchased my Canon DVD camcorder. I was able to import and edit videos for about a year. Now when I try to import videos from my camcorder, it gets about 1/2 way done and then freezes. I have tried un-installing Roxio and re-installing it. I have tried to call Roxio and have go no where.

 

Can anyone help me?

If it has worked for a couple of years - check for anything you may have installed or updated at about the time it failed to work

 

Especially, check that you didn't install Internet Explorer 7 and/or Media Player 11. If you did, go to add/remove programs and uninstall them and then let us know if that worked

 

I'm assuming that you are running XP (seeing the installation is a couple of years old)
