Program Crashes When Adding A New Movie

jmc4769

Question

When I try to add a new movie to DVD Express or My DVD, the program crashes as soon as I select the folder where the file is located (BEFORE I select the file). The file is an AVI file created by Camtasia. The error in MyDVD is "VideoWave 8 has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have played the movie in Windows Media Player 11 and it plays fine. I have Windows XP SP2, 1 GB of Ram, 92 Gb free hard disk storage, 3 Ghz CPU, EM Creator 8.05, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.

It would be helpful if you put that information and your video card/chip information in your signature. Go to the top of this page and select My Controls then look to the left to edit signature.

If you roll back IE and WMP previous versions and it still gives you a problem, what video card/chip do you have?
