Syrallas
Ok thanks for this ...I may as well do it ..I printed all the detail from support so will go and do it now ...fingers cross!!!!!!!!!!!! will get back to let you know if it also worked for me thanks again Please do. BTW: In doing it last night, I noticed that for my Vista computer, to accomplish the final steps in the clean install - the registry edits -- I used the XP, not Vista, instructions: "Go to Start -> Run. Type "regedit" (without quotes) then click OK)" and not " Click on Start --> Type "regedit" in the Search field and press Enter on your keyboard." When I tried the "Vista" way, I was not getting to the proper place, for some reason, so, something to think about as you do it. The process will take time, esp. if (when? ) you run into "permissions" issues which won't let you delete certain files because you don't have the appropriate permissions for Vista's liking. If you run into this, let me know..

tbrewst
The clean install may or may not do the job. I previously had 9.1 installed on my XP machine.I uninstalled it for a reason I can't remember. Yesterday I tried to reinstall and got the same 2 errors. One was about RoxTray and the other was Videowave. The VideoWave error gave R6025 as a code.I looked that up in the Knowledge Base and followed those directions, which didn't work and led to a line that said to do a clean install. I've installed and uninstalled 3 times to no avail.I've used a registry cleaner and also manually edited the registry for Roxio entries. All of this still doesn't work. I guess what this comes down to is that the clean install is not a cure all. Most times it works but sometimes it doesn't.When it doesn't I think about the only way to get the software to work is to do a Format C: and start over. Syrallas
well I tried the clean uninstall with all the detail printed in front of me ...following step by step got everything done and came the time to re-install....BY GOD what is happenning.....BLUE SCREEN ..COMPUTER CRASHES AND SHUT DOWN.......... did you encounter this??????????????? I don't know what to do next .... NEED HELP PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE Don't panic just yet. Turn off / unplug computer for about 10 minutes, and re-boot. Worst thing that could have happened is if you messed up your registry edits, but, per the instructions, they were exported to a safe place before any problems. Please report back after a 10 minute shutdown and let's keep our fingers crossed....

gi7omy
Yep - clean install is the only way to cure the ills. Unfortunately, bits do get left behind on uninstall (courtesy of the 'MicroSoft Installer aka .msi)
