No Audio With Capture

AF man

Question

I need help again. I have had countless numbers of problems with Roxio EMC, Vista and my Dazzle. I ahve tried everything listed on the forum. There is no audio during the capture and nothing after the capture. I have installed the Driver from Pinnicle. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Any ideas

The only other thing I can offer up is this.Go to the Control Panel,Sound and the Recording tab.You will see devices that are available to use.Try right clicking any one and then checking Show Disabled Devices. If any new devices come up right click them and hit enable.Once they are all enabled try to capture and see what happens.

If you still get no audio then it may be that your sound card (chip) doesn't recognize the input from the Dazzle.

Another thing to make sure of is to go to Device Manager and make sure you have 2 listings under Sound.1 each for Audio and Video. If not then it could be a driver issue.

I have mine working just fine.I use a Sound Blaster Audigy for my sound card.It also works with the built in sound on my motherboard although that may not be the case for others.

I do not have the option to change the input device under Options/audio input. I does not seem to recognize the Dazzle as an audio input device. I am able to capture with another program, Pinnacle. Still confused

The Dazzle will only capture audio as part of a video capture; it will not capture only audio using EMC 9. Use your sound card for that.

You indicated that you installed the drivers; did you install the latest ones for Vista? Are you using the same cable connections in both the Studio and the Import Media Applications?
