Real Icons?

sarbs

Question

Is there a folder of icons from Toast 9 that I am missing or something? I have transferred several TiVo files to my MacBook Pro and they all have just a plain white generic icon. Is there a way to get the icon from Toast Video Player or a TiVo icon to appear instead of the plain crappy icon? I know I can copy and paste a picture in its place from "right" clicking and going to "Get Info" but this seems ridiculous to have to do for every single file. I have installed the latest updates for TiVo, Toast, Leopard, etc. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Toast several times, deleting the preference files for my specific username and the generic library preferences. After years of frustrations with Roxio's products in Windows, I had hoped that on the Mac platform, it would be a lot smoother. I was dead wrong... Gotta love the TiVo/Roxio monopoly... except the exact opposite....

I just use quicktime to set the icon for the movie. I have Quicktime Pro, so I dont know if the shareware version can do the same thing.

1) Open the video in Quicktime

2) Play to the frame you want the icon to appear as

3) Go to the view menu and select "Set Poster Frame"
