Just FYI, I am experiencing exactly the same problem: CD-Text does not work with Music Disc Creator, does work with Easy Audio CD, iTunes grays out the "Include CD Text" checkbox, and, last but not least, and probably not coincidentally, I have a Dell system and my drive is identified as HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B.
Sadly, I do not own an external drive, so I guess I have no alternative other than to use Easy Audio CD and sacrifice the nice segue capabilities of Music Disc Creator.
What a pain. I even upgraded from EMC 8 to 10 in hopes of fixing this problem. Duh -- guess I should have read the forum first.
