Part Of Playback Is Jerky

PeterAit

Question

I have created a production from a home video and burned it to a DVD. It's about 50 minutes long. When I play it back in a stand-alone DVD player the first 40 minutes or so plays back just fine, but the last 10 minutes plays back in a jumpy fashion - play for 1/2 second, freeze for 1/2 second, etc (both picture and sound). I burned the project twice with the same result, the jerkiness always starts in the same place.

But - and here's the mystery - if I play the DVD on my computer, in the same drive where I burned it, there is no problem.

Thanks for any ideas.

That indicates that there is a problem between your DVD player and the DVD media. Perhaps you could try a different media makes such as Verbatim. Have you played the DVD on another stand-alone player?

Other possibilities are to first burn to an iso file and then use Video Copy & Convert to burn the iso file to DVD or to switch the rendering mode to software if its currently set to hardware. (look under Tools/options on the myDVD menu bar)
