Roxio Won't Read My Movie Files

Greetings everyone,. i was wondering if I could get some help with something. I recently purchaised EMC10 with the sole purpose or burning movies from my JVC Everio GZ-MG155U onto dvd to view on the TV,. problem is Roxio wont read the .MOD file format that jvc saves it's movies in,.. i've had a similar problem before where i had to download windows media classic to view the movies on the PC,.

 

Is there ANYTHING that can be done so that roxio recognises these movies???

MOD is a non-standard video format and why on earth JVC felt compelled to deviate from the standards???

 

At any rate, the fix is usually very simple: Copy the files to your HD, then change the extension from MOD to mpg.

 

There is another problem with JVC's and widescreen recording pinned under the Capture/Output conference. Read that one and file it away for your future use.
