Burning Slide Show To Dvd

afriqueart

Question

I'm trying to burn a slide show to DVD. I have 375 pics in jpg format, I'm including a mp3 track that is 21 minutes long. I build the show and burn the DVD with no errors reported. Everything looks fine. The DVD light goes off. I can preview the DVD on the system but, when I try to view the contents of the DVD or play it (with windows media player or power DVD), the disc is blank.

I use HQ settings and am writing to a dvd-rw.

I'm using vista home premium with all the latest updates, media creator 10 with the update. My system is new and I've burned CD's in the burner. I haven't burned a DVD yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Can you tell if anything is actually 'burned'(written) on the DVD itself? Can you play the DVD using Roxio's CinePlayer?

If there is nothing 'burned' on the DVD, go to your computer/DVD manufacturer's website and see if there are any updates (software or firmware) for your burner. If nothing has been burned on the DVD, the program is sending the information, but the burner isn't receiving and burning the DVD properly. Usually manufacturer's have updates posted on their support website to solve these type of problems.
