taylor27
Does creator 10 have the 3D transition similar to creator 7? I was looking for the oval and donut 3d transition option and it is not listed in version 10.
ggrussell
Since v8 the 3D transitions are not available unless you have a better video card that fully supports DirectX 9. Try the graphics test in Videowave or MyDVD by selecting TOOLS / Options. Just click the button. When it finishes, there should be a 'dot' beside hardware or software. If it defaults to 'software' rendering, then your video card does not support the DirectX commands needed for the 3D transitions so they will not be available. Torus 3D and Sphere 3D are video effects and are there They could look like a oval and a donut. I'm not sure which transitions are equivalent to oval and donut. Nothing seems to stand out. The 'frames' which is the oval in 7 has been moved to 'overlay' in v 10. Unfortunately, the 'oval' isn't one of the frames that they kept. Personally, I used that one a lot. The 'donut' is still an effect ('video effect' in version 10) and as Steve said, it's the Torus-3D. Unfortunately, if your compute can't do hardware rendering, it won't be listed in the effects that you can use.
