Slooooowww Mydvd

Ok well....in addition to the same problem that everyone else is having with trying to add 3 videos to MyDVD (i tried the so-called fix without success..still crashes), MyDVD is just plain SLOW!!

 

When I go to add a new title...the file browsing window opens but it takes FOREVER for my thumbnails to appear.

 

If I try to change the picture on the thumbnail/menu button for the title...my system usually crashes

 

And occassionally, MyDVD just freezes and/or crashes at odd times.

 

I burned a 1 hour long Tivo program the other day to a DVD-R disc and it took TWELVE HOURS to encode the project.

 

This can't be normal....

 

I purchased the box version at Best Buy that has the current 8.05 build. My rendering is set to Hardware and my system passes the rendering test...i've also tried Software Rendering with no change.

 

My system info is below...i think i put everything important on there...it should also be noted that everything i can think to update has been updated...drivers that is...Other than Roxio EMC 8...my system runs just fine...just as fast as always

I'm having exactly the same issue. When I asked Roxio support about this, they just regurgitated the minimum system requirements at me and closed the ticket.

 

Have you rectified this issue? If so, how?

 

Did you receive any response regarding this issue?

I just posted this last night, so no, i haven't figured it out yet...I just burned another dvd...this one didn't take as long but there is a blue line aroundthe top and left side of the picture (????)
