Cannot Print From Label Creator Roxio Media 10

I am on a Vista Computer, I am Runnning Nero 8 and Roxio 10. Both were working fine, until a few days ago.

I got a nice bug and now had to reimage my computer and reinstall everything.

 

I got Nero working fine, but Roxio will not print.

It just hangs.

I can create a dvd cover ok, but when I hit the print option, from menu or icon. It just stops working, no box to choose the printer or the settings.

My printers are both working fine in other applications. I have and HP laset jet and an Epson c88+.

 

I have tried the reinstall from the roxio site, and from the dvd.

 

I still have Roxio basic9 that came with the facotory install.

but the system was running for 5 months like this without a problem.

Just now it's a problem.

Have you done the clean install? It should help clear things up, and then you can just use your install DVD to put it on your PC anew.

I've done it once and it seems to get rid of lots of problems. Good luck & please report back.

Well, it took forever to reinstall, over 2 hours. I seem to remeber it taking about hour or less.

I didn't think that was a good sign.

At least I still create covers in Roxio and save as an image file Nero is a happy little program though.

I did find some intructions to turn things off in MSconfig. So niether program starts up at boot up.

My computer starts much faster.

 

I just may stop using Roxio as much if I can't fix it.

Just because I could I tried installing Roxio Lable Creator from Media Center 7.

This one works.

Did you also install all the latest driver updates after the reimaging of your PC, particular for the graphic card and your printers (if available)?

 

May be Media Center7 works fine with the old drivers, but the newer versions need the latest drivers.

I thought I did, but decided to put a service call to HP also. Doesn't hurt to ask.

 

I doubt it's the printer driver though. I have 2 printers setup and with Roxio I'm not even getting the screen that asks me to choose a printer.
