I would like to copy my VHS tapes and Stereo records to my hard drive. I have a Compaq presario computer with VISTA, and Roxio 10.Who can recommend what I need to attach to my computer, in order to accomplish this task? Thank you.

Commercial VHS tapes or home movies? If the former, you probably will be blocked from copying.

To do the LP's all you need is your sound card and the LP and Tape assistant.It will show you how to setup when you open the app.

To do the VHS you need some kind of capture device for your computer.This will let you capture the Video and Audio.

When you got v10 did you get the Deluxe Suite?If so you got the Dazzle with it and thats a capture device.

If EMC 10 came preinstalled on your PC, then you have the Dell OEM version, which is a cut-down "basic" version, and does not have the Dazzle device.
