Roxmedia10dbe.exe

Stecyk

Question

I am using Vista with Roxio 10.

Using my resource monitor, I sometimes I notice that my hard drive and CPU are working hard with RoxMedia10DBE.exe being the active application. I strongly suspect that Roxio is creating a catalog of my media files. I have no desire for Roxio to create a catalog or monitor my media files.

My questions are:

1) How do I turn this feature off?

2) If there is a catalog now created, where do I find it so that I can delete it?

Turn it off in Media Manager (top menu).

You'll just have to search for where the catalog was created.

1) Is that Tools | Stop Watching Folders? I have stopped searching but the hard drive is still chattering away.

2) What is the catalog's name or suffix? I will search for it and delete once I find it. Where is this file typically hidden?
