Copied Audio Cd Will Only Play On Computer

When I make a copy of a music disc using "Roxio Disc Copier" the disc created will only play on the computer. I am using a CD-RW disc. Is that my problem?

Yep! Most cd players (except computers) will not play a cd/rw. Some of the newer models say they do but many have reported trouble with them.

Thank you so much. I will stop fighting with it and buy some new discs.

The reflectivity of RW media is less than R media, which in turn is less than commercially pressed CDs - which is why some players balk at them. Optical media is about reflecting light (unlike magnetic media like floppys, which store info magneticly).

BTW - hang onto your CD-RWs for testing purposes, but never use them for anything you want to keep for a while. RW media fades out on its own, as the re-crystalized aluminum alloy de-crystalizes and takes the data with it.
