Creating A Movie And A Dvd

I'm new to EMC 10 and this forum so forgive the naive questions. I have a DVD with many chapters. I want to delete some material in the middle of each Chapter then consolidate all the "edited" chapters into two things (1) a movie clip that I can watch on my PC and an image file that I can burn to a DVD. Can someone point me to documentation that would help me. I've been to Tips and Tricks but don't see anything that answers my questions. The closest I get is with the article on Chapter Points. Thanks in advance.
