Burning Two Slideshows

mbrookie

Question

I am brand new at this, so please forgive me if I'm asking basic questions. I have Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning, Version: 9.0.554. I am in the process of converting pictures from a number of trips to DVD (using the slideshow application, and adding music in the process). Because there are a large number of trips, I decided to organize them and put 2 to 4 trips/slideshows per DVD. I reviewed the Help in the software, but when I try to fire up the MY DVD application, it just doesn't fire up. Maybe the application shows up but is not included in the program, not sure if anyone could help me with that. Or is there a better way to do what I want to do? Thanks.

The only thing that comes with the Red Box version along those lines is the Slideshow Assistant, under Photo.

If that isn't starting for you, first thing to try is to go to Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs – select Change then Repair.

If that doesn't do the trick, then go the Clean Install route – Here

You are also reaching the next level of complexity in your productions and should consider upgrading to the full Suite.

Thanks so much for your help. Yes, my Slideshow Assistant is working and that is in fact what I have been using. My question was because when I went to the Help facility it pointed me in the direction of My DVD.

To which application specifically would you suggest I upgrade? I'm having fun with this, and hope to do a lot more.

Another question: I am sometimes frustrated by music which doesn't work in Slideshows. I found that I can't get iTunes loaded music to work. A friend suggested getting songs from Amazon.com and that works for the most part, but I have purchased a couple of songs that just don't work in my Slideshows, but work through other software. Do you know if there is any way to know ahead of time (before I buy) whether a song will work or not?

Thanks again. (I will be out of country for 10 days so will not have access, but will check in as soon as I return).

Quite often downloaded music will have copyright protection and cannot be used in other project. Sometimes you first have to burn the songs to a CD and then rip them back to your PC.

If you are thinking of doing a bit of "video work" in the future I would recommend updating to the latest verion Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 (EMC 10)
