Drag And Drop Transititions

Mookie114

Question

Do your production in VideoWave. You can move them from one place to another, with no problem. I would think that it should work the same way in MyDVD, but I no longer have that version, so I can't give it a shot.

Hello - I just finished a DVD photo slideshow using VideoWave. I was unable to drag and drop photos from pone place to another, so I just decided to accept what was already there and go with that.

It seems I also remember in a previous version being able to drag and drop transitions from the transition selection screen to the transition points between photos. I was unable to do that with Easy Media Creator Suite 10. Have I screwed something up or is there an issue with my install I should be looking at?

Thanks much!

Mike

Thank you for the quick response, and I apologize for the improper placement of the request. I thought I was in the forum for "Roxio EMC 8 - 10."

I did the production in Videowave and it was pretty easy - except for the fact that I was unable to drag and drop photos at all. I was also unable to drop transitions into the production - as I thought I remembered from earlier versions.

I have no problem dragging and dropping photos or transitions. It only works though through the Media and Effect Selector windows. Do you have the Media Effect Selectors showing and docked?

I've actually tried that and have been unable to dock the effects selector. The message returned is "It is not possible to dock the effect selector at the current resolution." Resolution WAS 1024X768 and 16-bit color. I tried changing it to 1152X864 and 800X600 at both 16-bit and 32-bit color (the only color depths available with my current video adapter) and I get the same message every time.

Anyway, now for some reason, I AM able to drag and drop transitions to the production. I've only tried four of them, but it worked fine each time. However, dragging and dropping individual images - while the result has improved - is still an 'iffy' proposition. Attempting to drag a graphic from the very end of the production to the very beginning would sometimes move the graphic to some point between the start and the end. Trying to drag and drop it again, this time closer to the beginning, would NEVER get the graphic to the beginning and would occasionally result in the image snapping back to the end of the production.

An alternative that worked for me was to copy and paste the image from the end to the start, then delete the image at the end. So I can get done what I need to get done, but it's still frustrating that it won't work like it ought to.

Thank you for the response! I'll keep runnin' that play til I get it right!

The only resolution at which docking works for me is 1280x1024. All other settings give me the error message.

Instead of copy & paste you can also use cut & paste
