Move Videowave Project From One Computer To Another

Sol Rosenberg

Question

Is there a way I can move my videowave project (emc 10) from my older laptop which is rendering it like crap to a newer computer (that has emc 10 installed on it of course) so I can render it with a better video card?

I know I can't just move the project by itself - it relies on links to photos, videos, and music located in various folders on the laptop. Help please!

Yes, you can do it, but you are right, it can get a little tricky if you have a lot of source files. All of the images, and video clips and what-not will need to be moved to identical locations on the new system. If you miss something, you should be prompted for it and you should be able to re-add it.

Also, if assets were edited, the edits are stored in the appdata folder, so you might have to move that over as well.

I have done it before moving VW files from EMC9 on one computer, to EMC10 on my new computer, and it did work. Like John said, you must make sure it is in the exact location on the new computer as it was on the old computer with NO file name changes or anything. It can definitely be tricky!!
