- "building preview display" (either when I double click on a video file on the menu to edit it, or when I import an existing file (to string together several video clips)
- "building movies" (when I click "burn," the process hangs at the end of the blue "building movies" status bar
Other info:
I only work with AVIs from my digital camera.
I have a brand new computer with 2 GB RAM, 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron processor, 250 GB HD.
I have no other programs open while I'm burning (or trying to burn) DVDs.
I installed Sonic as the first software on the computer after formatting the HD.
I had this SAME PROBLEM with my 4-year-old computer (512 MB RAM, 120 GB HD, slow processor).
MyDVD is perfect for me when I can get it to work, but infuriating when it doesn't. I have to restart the computer (exiting the program from the task manager doesn't solve the problem; as soon as I go back into the program, it hangs again) to do any more editing and pray the DVD will burn and not hang while burning.
