Mydvd Crashes On Startup

Immediately upon MyDVD 10 starting up, it crashes with an error R6025- pure virtual function call. I have installed the latest Microsoft DirectX download and have removed and reinstalled Easy Media Creator 10 Suite. I have updated the video drives and have disabled all startup items. Still crashes on startup. Running XP Pro on a Dell XPS. I've spent hours creating a photo slideshow and now cannot burn it to a dvd. Suggestions?

These are specific and not the same as uninstall and reinstall.

I think that thread essentially ends up recommending a clean install, like Jim H. recommends. But it makes for interesting reading.
