Convert Hd/blu Ray And Pal

When i am doing conversions of mkv files (HD or Blu ray) i have been using ConvertX...my question is can EMC do a conversion of a file that is Pal AND hd/blu ray)

 

i assume that EMC can handle containers like mkv or avi...but if it's PAL (i convert to NTSC) ..i have been using ConvertX...

 

I want to use EMC (like it better)...

No, EMC does not support MKV. MKV is not an industry standard although it maybe popular on the net. EMC does support PAL or NTSC with automatic conversion between the two. As for hidef, Videowave/MyDVD will accept industry standard files: HD MPEG2, HD WMV, MP4, M4V, M2T, M2TS and TS files. I haven't tried HD DVR-MS files, but I'm sure it probably will.

thanks...guess i either have to extract the data out of the mkv...or just keep using ConvertX..thanks
