Mixing Slideshow, Videowave And My Dvd

Can anyone help and tell me if the following is possible

 

We are producing a photoslide show with mixed black and white and colour on DVD for mothers 80th. Ideally would like to use black and white feature from slideshow, slow dissovle transition from videowave and have no menu option on MyDVD. Seem to be able to do 2 out of 3 for example can create slideshow with black and white option and can then use slow dissolve transition from Videowave but when we go to MyDVD I can't get rid of the Menu. If I start a new project with No Menu option in MyDVD and open up black and white slide show I am unable to edit the transition to slow dissolve.

Start your MyDVD project with No DVD Menu. Add your slideshow. Int he tree to the left, RIGHT click on slideshow and choose EDIT MOVIE. You will be taken to a Videowave edit window with the slideshow ready to be edited. If you used the Slideshow Wizard, I think this will take you back to the slideshow editor. I don't use that feature much.

Sorry Gary. You posted when I was typing. I think this can be considered an alternative.

 

Make every thing and do all your effects in Video Wave, save as a project and then use My DVD to burn the project with no menu. Are you using the "New Slide Show" option in Video Wave? That's the two step Slide Show Assistant. Don't use that.

 

In Video Wave, add all your images/videos that you want to make black and white and select "Add video effect". Select black and white and then apply to all. Add all the ones you don't want to make black and white. When you have them in the order you want, select "Add Transition Theme" Slow Dissolves.

 

Save the project and close Video Wave. Open My DVD, select DVD no menu and add the Video Wave project.

 

There are probably shortcuts to the above but this one will work if you are nearing a deadline.

 

As an alternative, use the 3 step Slide Show Assistant under the Photo tab. In the third step, chose to edit in Video Wave and then make all your final edits there. Again save the project and use My DVD to burn.

 

A couple of suggestions, make sure your images fit in the TV safe zone, use software render and when you go to burn, encode (burn) to an ISO file. You can preview that in Video Copy and Convert *VCC) when it is finished to see if it is what you wanted. Use VCC to burn to the disc.
