I've used Roxio software for years, so I'm baffled by what I've encountered on a new computer. It shipped with EM-9 and I thought it would be a breeze to create a quick and simple DVD. But:
--there are only three themes available and they're all horrible (trust me, only 3 in the Video-UI9-content-dvd-4x3-themes folder: beach, bouquets, seasons)
--more styles available by download button links to the roxio home page; no "9" downloads in sight
--basic options are not (example: "make all menus still"--text is grayed out)
So a question: is this just not a fully functional version of the software? If I uninstalled and reinstalled from the CD that shipped with the computer, would I have more choices? Or should I just give up and buy something else?
All I want to do is this:
Make a basic menu with buttons that show a still frame from each video.
Put that basic menu over a solid color, still background.
No audio with menus.
Have the menu items display in exactly the order I put them in.
I've tried the Windows DVD Maker that also shipped with this computer and it won't do these simple things either.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
