Problems With MyDVD

BarryA

Question

Slightly different twist to missing menu styles. I also did a clean install to save myself from constant crashes and general malaise of my computer caused by EMC10. Now I find I cannot load the Wedding menu style from the files on my hard drive. I can load the Wedding menu style from the original EMC10 DVD, but not from the same files on my hard drive. I've tried deleting the wedding menu style from my drive and reinstalling these files from the EMC10 DVD, but I still get a black background, not the floral pattern of the wedding menu style. Interestingly, all of the other menu styles I've tried load properly from my drive.

Another person uninstalled the 'Content' and then reinstalled it to fix menu problems.

Thanks for your guidance.

I tried my interpretation of your suggestion using Add/Remove Programs in XP to remove and reinstall "Content" without achieving a fix to my problem.

What finally worked for me was as follows:

Delete folder VideoUI 10 and all sub-folders from my PC using Windows Explorer (I use a more robust utility).

Copy folder VideoUI 10 and sub-folders from original EMC 10 DVD into same location in my PC from which I deleted VideoUI 10.

Now I think I have all menu styles available. At minimum, I have the Wedding style which was previously "missing in action."
