Brendon
(1) Have you previously had success with the Maxells or the TDKs? (2) What brand was your drive happy with? (3) What model number is your LiteON ??
Jim_Hardin
'Dash' media is burned is slightly different manner than 'plus' media but the only time I have seen a failure was due to the specific media. In my case, the media failed while sitting on the spindle about 6 months after I bought it. What error messages does it produce?

DL means dual layer. I would dump the burner you have now, and get a new one.
