RGALVIN
I can use Nero and other burners with no problem. When I use Sonic Digitalmedia Plus V7 I get message on bottom of page where burn button is that no drive is detected. How do I correct this? TarasC
I had a very similar problem with an HP Pavilion Media Center where the original DVD-RAM drive died just a couple of weeks ago. HP sent a replacement drive which was a different make/model than the original that broke down. However, upon starting the computer and the Sonic DigitalMedia 7 software, it simply said "no drive detected" whereas the rest of Windows and other disc burning apps recognized the drive just fine. While troubleshooting with HP, I came across to this page and tried installing the PX Engine update. Upon restart, the Sonic software immediately recognized all of my drives again and I was able to burn a DVD. Thank you for the post and the solution. Brendon
Your Sonic burn engine could be a little messed-up, especially if you have a number of other burning programs installed. Try reinstalling the PX Engine with this program. (click here to download) It won't hurt, but it may correct your problem.
