Converting Video

Firewalker96

Question

I have a widescreen, 16x9, video file saved as a 720p HD Quicktime .mov file. I want to convert the file to use on my PSP, which is a widescreen device. The resolution on the PSP is 480x272 (16x9), but when I try and use the Copy and Convert, the resolution it defaults to is 320x240 (based on a 4x3 screen). Because the original video is 16x9 widescreen, if I use the default, I lose the 1/3 of the video on the left hand side. When I click on options to change the screen from 4x3 to a 16x9 widescreen, there is no option to do that. How do I convert the video to keep the same screen dimensions (16x9) as the original video? Or is that not possible with the EMC 10 Suite? Or is there a better program to convert the video with in EMC? Thanks.

What happens if you open Video Wave, select a new project in wide screen, add the video and then use the Output as option?.. Output is the film reel icon just above the preview screen in Video Wave?

It worked. I got the 16x9 video output. The resolution sucked to the point I couldn't read any text on the screen, but at least I have something to play with now as a starting point. Thanks!
