Unfortunately a few of your countrymen have posted questions like this (spammers) and then a co-spammer has posted a reply suggestion another program. Some people may be reluctant to reply because they may think that this is the case again. If you are one of those, please remove your post. If a reply suggests another program, it will be removed quickly and you may be banned from the forum.

Please post your computer specifications. The problem is in your hardware or your procedure; not the software. How are you writing the mov files to a DVD and in what format?

Is the application My DVD? That has a create DVD tag line.

First, what is the source of the mov file? I have a few mov files on my computer from a digital camera and your process works for me with no hangs/stutters/pauses. These are all short mov files so it may not be a direct comparison.

My suggestion would be to use the Video Wave application and add that mov file to it. Use the output icon (above the preview screen) to output that mov to a "mpg2 for DVD, best quality" file. This will take time so be patient. If you can't get that file encoded to a mpg2 then there is something wrong with the file. This usually happens with internet downloaded files where there is a incomplete download.

If you can get the mov file converted, then simply add that to MyDVD. Since the file is already in the correct format for a DVD, the encoding of that file will go quickly.

Just a caution, wherever you are doing any video work, shut down any running programs that you don't need to be running. Although not required, you should disconnect from the internet and shut down your anti-virus and anti-malware. Some anti-virus software scan everything being written to you hard drive and that could cause interruption in encoding the file.
