Auto Split Audio Tracks

Neo Vita

Question

Hello,

I burn a lot of audio books and one annoying thing about audiobooks is how long the chapters are. If your listening gets interupted 20 minutes into a 30 minute track it can be frustrating to find your way back to where you left off. I once listened to a CD that had a new track every two minutes. Is there a way to do this in Toast? The sales guy at Roxio told me there was but I can't find the feature.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

You would need to add the long track(s) to Toast's Convert window and then click the button to save as AIFF file(s). The open CD Spin Doctor and open one of the AIFF files. In Spin Doctor you can create tracks of almost any length in a variety of ways. The start and end point of the tracks are described in time increments. When you have the breaks where you want them send the tracks back to Toast with Audio CD selected as the format in the Audio window. Make sure the pause between tracks is set to 0. Burn your new audio CD which will have tracks at the points you set but will play continuously so you won't notice going from one track to the next (just like a live concert CD).

I don't know of any easier way to do this.
