Syrallas
Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience converting flash video files (".flv files") so that the converted files can be brought into Videowave for editing. If you have a program that you have used that you would either recommend -- or discourage -- others from trying out that converts these type of files, please let me know. Thanks! bds1958
I use this. http://www.flash-video-mx.com/flv_to_video_web/ It's pretty good but be warned that when you convert Flash to Video the quality suffers.
Syrallas
I use this. http://www.flash-video-mx.com/flv_to_video_web/ It's pretty good. Thanks, I like the fact that the free trial is fully functional (but contains their watermark). I'll try it out & report back.

grandpabruce
lOL! Just remember that junk in = junk out. I would think that that would sum up .flv files.

My kids like some of the clips that seem to only come in this format, so I'm trying to "keep current" w/ them. Though I know its a losing battle. Syrallas
You could also try Super (free) http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html or Mediacoder (also free) http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ Just wanted to get back to this post and let you know that I chose to download the "Super" program Jean suggested and I don't see any reason to download anything else! It does exactly what I wanted (and more), and does a nice job of converting .flv files to other formats. It also lets you choose from a variety of options before you make the conversion. Thanks again!
