Yossi
Hi All, I tried to use VideoWave of EMC10, works very fine, but I have two questions: 1) Is it possible to split the existing MPG file ( or just saving this file after some parts of it were cut) without recompression? I want to emphasize that the MPG file was created by other software and not EMC10. This is very important because without recompression the whole procedure takes a little time comparable to changing the compression mode. There exist a lot of small programs for joining and splitting video files, some of them do not use recompression, but I'd like to stay with EMC10 doing this job. 2) When capturing video input from TV using Leadtek PVR3000 Deluxe video card, I have some options in Leadtek's PVR2 software for example: Harware MPEG or MPEG ( when using the Hardware MPEG the CPU utilization is very low about 6-7% ). If I want to use the Capture option within VideoWave, it finds the video card but how to force it to work with the card's Hardware MPEG option? Thanks in advance, Yossi
Yossi
Hi All, How to save the MPG file without recompression in VideoWave 10 ( after cutting unwanted parts of the file)? I see that there is no option when using 'Output as...' which enables to stay with the same compression. I should always choose the compression format and then it takes a long time to Save. Anyone can suggest something? Thanks in advance. Yossi

There has to be some rendering around the areas that you edited.
grandpabruce
Video ReDo is a great little program for cutting parts out of MPG files. It is fast, and no re-rendering is done when you save them. You can then use those new files in VideoWave.

Hi All,
I tried to use VideoWave of EMC10, works very fine, but I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to split the existing MPG file ( or just saving this file after some parts of it were cut) without recompression?
I want to emphasize that the MPG file was created by other software and not EMC10.
This is very important because without recompression the whole procedure takes a little time comparable to changing the compression mode.
There exist a lot of small programs for joining and splitting video files, some of them do not use recompression, but I'd like to stay with EMC10
doing this job.
2) When capturing video input from TV using Leadtek PVR3000 Deluxe video card, I have some options in Leadtek's PVR2 software for example:
Harware MPEG or MPEG ( when using the Hardware MPEG the CPU utilization is very low about 6-7% ).
If I want to use the Capture option within VideoWave, it finds the video card but how to force it to work with the card's Hardware MPEG option?
Thanks in advance,
Yossi
