Does anyone know how to convert tivo files that are recorded in High Definition?

 

i tried to convert them using Roxio Creator 10.

 

First I converted and burned one. The resolution was terrible, it did not come out in High Definition.

 

I then converted one without burning it and the resolution was even worse.

 

i want to convert the tivo files and edit them before i burn them. Does anyone know how to do that? Is it possible with High Definition?

If you burn a HD file to a SD DVD, then the production will be in SD 740 by 480. Does the DVD look like it is stndard definition? This program doesn't have the ability to burn to a Blu_ray (HD) disc.

 

Some players and some HD TV's do not display SD DVD very well. Is it possible that is the case?

As sknis pointed out, you are already downsizing the resolution by burning to DVD. Also, based on the information in Toast 9, I think there is a limitation for the resolution on converting TiVo files and it's less than 640x480.
