ligonpa
On a library computer in another city I saved pictures from a camera to a cd using Roxio Drag to Disk but didn't finalize the disk. Now, on my home computer, I have Cd and DVD Creator 5, when I try to open the disk I get a message saying: Windows cannot read from this disk, the disk might be corrupted or could be using a format that is incompatible with Windows. How can I open the cd?
gi7omy
You'd need to open the disc with the same version that was on the original machine
ligonpa
Thank but I didn't know when I saved the files which version I was running.
gi7omy
You could try isobuster or cdroller and see if they can read the disc www.cdroller.com www.isobuster.com Both are free to try - if they can read, then you will have to pay for the program to extract the files
Jim_Hardin
As I recall V8 D2D was the last version that was backward compatible all the way back to V3.5 DCD. There are several reasons why a disc is not readable but frankly I doubt a Library PC would even have D2D installed… It is more likely it was using XP's built in burning program. If you have V5 on your home PC, it must be pretty old and the drive may not even be capable of reading newer discs! At any rate Daithi's suggestion should get to the bottom of this real fast.
