Syrallas
Everytime I try to use EMC I get the endless popups that say "Could not complete the last command because of: unknown error" I searched the website and it said to do Start/Run / etc etc and I did that. A few questions. Is there any particular program in the suite that causes this crash (ex. videowave, MyDvd, etc.)? What this EMC10 pre-installed on your pc or was it separately purchased by you? If so, do you have an install disc? What type of pc are you using (RAM, available hard drive space, etc.). The more info. provided, the greater the chances of a possible resolution. allowingtoo
I haven't tried to open anything other than EMC and or Creator Classic. EMC is the one that crashes and burns. I have Vista and EMC came installed with my HP. I just got the computer recently. I have 92% free space and 2 gigs of Ram. Everything is updated on my computer. gi7omy
The OEM version of EMC is something not too many of us are familiar with (it was modified especially for HP. One thing I do know is that it constantly wants to 'phone home' and requires an internet connection to be active. In the meantime, forget the Home app and use the individual apps that are in the start menu and let us know if those work
Syrallas
EMC came installed with my HP. TIA Have you tried an on-line tech support chat w/ HP about your problem?
John at Roxio
It could also be a registry cleaner that you have running on the system. Some of them are known to disable the EMC software. If you get it running again for a while and then up pops the error again, I would look into registry cleaners as the cause.
