Canon Xh A1 Not Recognized

Hi Everyone,

 

I am trying to get video from my Canon XH A1 HDV Camera in Toast 9. When I have the camera set to regular DV video no problem but when it is set to HDV Toast does not recognize it at all. Any ideas? I do have the HD/BD add-on installed.

Toast 9 does not capture from HDV.

Just to clarify, some HD cameras do work but we see problems with certain models. If you need to, you can always capture in iMovie and then use that video in Toast.

OK. Thanks guys. It would have been nice to avoid this extra step but C'est la vie.

I noted a similar issue when trying to burn a back-up DVD from Canon VIXIA HF10. The video will load into iMovie as HD, but trying to make an archive DVD from the flash memory doesn't work. Apparently doesn't support the AVCHD file type.
