Click on Applications, then click on Creator Classic, and burn away.

If you want to make it a multi-session disc, where you can add more files later, make sure that you uncheck the Read Only box, in the advanced options, after you click Burn.

thank you.. that's much better....:) however: as far as DVD-related features, I only see "DVD Express" and "MyDVD" both of them you go in and it's an interface to create menus and stuff.. I DON'T WANT THAT, I just want to make a DATA DVD.. my gosh, this is very simple....:( (or should be...)

thank you very much....

On the Welcome page click on the Help (top left side) and do some reading.

Huh? The following is the screen that you should see when you click on Applications. Creator Classic is the 3rd one down. If you don't see that screen, you have a stripped down OEM version of the software.

yes I tried that, I had tried that before posting here.. but I think there's something wrong... when you go to "Data and Backup" you get to a window where under "Data Disc" it says, "Easily create and bun a data CD or DVD or save a disc image to your hard drive"... so I click on this "Data Disc" link, choose folder, click on yellow button at bottom right ("click this button to continue") but it just hangs.. nothing happens.. (and yes I do have a blank DVD loaded in the drive...;)

thank you..

I purchased it from roxio themselves (from their website); I had purchased roxio 9, then upgraded to 10... was told (when I asked, in these groups) that 10 was not just an upgrade, but a full, stand-alone app.. this is correct, no???

thank you very much for your help..

Do you see the screen that I posted earlier, when you click on Applications? If not, your install is bad, and you need to do a "clean install".

yes I do see it, I mentioned earlier that as far as DVD-related features, I only see "DVD Express" and "MyDVD" in that window.... both of them you go in and it's an interface to create menus and movies or slideshows and stuff.. I DON'T WANT THAT, I just want to make a DATA DVD..... (IS there a link in this window that will permit me to just burn a DATA DVD??)

now when I try the simple "copy and paste", i.e., copy a folder and paste in DVD in windows explorer, it says on toolbar in the folder window, "files ready to be burned to disc..." but I have no idea what to do next to "finalize" the burning of the files to the disk..

thank you....

YES, open Creator Classic and Burn your Data DVD.

As Bruce pointed out under Home click Applications, Creator Classic.

As Terry pointed out under Data and Backup Guide click, Creator Classic.

That is the Vista OS's burning engine, not Roxio EMC 10!

ok, as I explained yesterday (post #7), quoting myself here:

response I got from this: "where did you buy the software"???? ;)

thank you...
