Write Avi Files Using Mydvd Basic 9

Johnboy67

Question

Hi,

Can anyone help? I have an OEM version of MyDVD Basic v9 and I would like to write some avi files to DVD. When I try to add the avi files to the project though, the file icon has a "no entry" sign on it, and i cant select it. I have downloaded the avi Codec, and it seems to be working as the avi files play fine in Windows Media Player.

Any ideas?

Thanks

John

Several of the Basic versions of the Roxio software have been deliberately coded to reject some of the most popular video and audio codecs. If you've found a way to defeat that, more power to you. :)

The Basic versions of the Roxio software were all OEM versions, not sold directly by Roxio.

Non-OEM EMC 8 versions, with the exception of the Deluxe version, were deliberately coded to reject those codecs, and those pathetic versions were sold directly by Roxio. The encoding in all versions of 8, was junk.
