Disc Caching Error

Recommended Posts

Sorry...Couldn't find a forum for my version - EMC6. Yesterday, I burned a music CD. No problem. Tried to burn another and got a pop up window saying "Disc caching". It doesn't recognize my CD as blank. Same brand, etc. as the one that worked. Tried other blanks. Same thing. Any suggestions for a fix? Using Win XP. I changed nothing between first disc and 2nd one. Thanks for your help.

Marty

Check your hard drive (how much free space is there?) Usually when it caches to disk, it means it's storing stuff on the hard drive before writing to the optical media.

Empty your temp folders and the recycle bin and also try a defrag on the hard drive

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try that. It writes data Cds just fine, but won't do a music CD.
