Easy Media Creator 10 Won't Run

Webmom24

Question

Now what do I do? The program worked fine and then I had to run a utility to "reset my permissions" due to another program not running and now EMC 10 will not run. Grrrr... I downloaded the repair utility in the pinned thread but it keeps telling me my serial number is invalid. I just double checked it here on the web site - copied it in fact into the boxes and still I get "invalid serial number". Any thoughts ...? I'm about ready to tear my hair out with this crap :(

Yes, I purchased it directly from Roxio - it was a downloaded program. I have the confirmation email with my serial number which matches the registration information I see on the web site.

Thanks.

Contact them, perhaps at this site and explain your problem. They should be able to clear it up.

Also, follow the sage advice given by Gi7omy in post 7 of this thread re: backing up your download purchase.

Thanks - I have the downloaded copy burned to a DVD and have re-installed from it once (on this new computer) so I know that it works. I have entered in a support ticket so I hope that they respond with some help soon. Since I uninstalled the version that came pre-loaded with my computer so that I could install my purchased version, I have nothing that works now to burn any CD or DVD.

You are going to have to go through the clean install procedure. Your cleanup utility has almost certainly wiped a couple of necessary registry entries and that's where the problem has arisen

Can you tell me where to find this procedure? In general, I've not had much luck running "clean installs". It seems that anytime you have to "fix" one thing it "breaks" another. Thanks for your help.
