Blacking Out Faces

Pensacola

Question

Can anyone tell me how I might black or blur out someones face in a video? I have a video I want to use on YouTube, but a friend does not want his face showing in it. I fiddled around and figured out how to use an overlay to blackout his face, but in the video, the camera is panning and I can't figure out how to move the overlay with the panning motion. I guess this is probably not possible with VWave, huh? I know I've used other programs in the past that had this feature, but I can't find it anywhere in EMC10.

Thanks much!

To add, EMC 10 allows, I believe, five overlay tracks. You can use all those tracks to do successive/alternate overlay to follow the movement of the subject. Very tedious to do especially when subject moves rapidly.

I know this really isn't a solution, but Photoshop CS3 extended allows frame by frame editing of videos, lots of cool effects are possible when you add the world of Photoshop to your video.
