Ensuring Graphics Card Drivers Are Up To Date?

Tryin 2 de-bug

Question

How does one ensure that a computers graphics card drivers are up to date? I read this in one of the forum topics for Roxio 10, tips & tricks. Someone had stated that before doing a clean install, they ensured that their graphics card drivers were up to date, & then the clean install was successful & Roxio 10 had worked perfectly from then on. I'm a little desperate, but not willing to purchase any other software that promises to fix my problem. I'd rather keep trying different things until something works. The main problem is after a clean-install of Roxio 10, it works the 1st time after every re-boot, but not again, untill you re-boot again.

Not sure about the solution to your problem but as far as the drivers go:

You need to either know the manufacturer of your card/chipset or need to know the manufacturer of the computer.

If it's a Dell,Gateway, etc go to their website and see if they have any driver updates for your machine.

If you know the card manufacturer (nVidia,ATI,etc) go to their website and look up your particular card and find the drivers for it.For example this is the nVidia page.

You can find the info on your card in Device Manager,Display Adapter

After you use Roxio 10 and it won't work, try looking in task manager for anything Roxio, Sonic, or EMC 10, under processes. If found highlight it and click end process, now see if Roxio 10 works without rebooting? To launch task manager right click the taskbar and click task manager.
