Hd Image Slideshows On Dvd With Bluray Structure?

bnz

Question

Hello,

i just had the idea that it would be cool if i could somehow export a high-definition image slideshow from iPhoto, burn it to a normal 4GB DVD using the Blu-Ray structure and play it back with any Blu-Ray player, especially the PS3. Did anyone try this already or does anyone know if this is possible already somehow? I though i would ask before i spend time trying to do this...

To answer my own question: i have tested this myself and it is very possible. I just cropped my iphoto pictures to 16:9, created a movie with imovie hd, exported with custom quicktime settings and burnt it as blu-ray dvd with toast. Doing this with toast alone seems to lead to black bars around the pictures.

It would be nice to know what your "custom quicktime settings" were.

I too have done the exact thing, but am getting consistent -39 errors.
