Issue With Roxio In Image

llsmsadmin

Question

I installed Roxio DE 9 from Dell on my Windows Vista build machine. I then ran Sysprep. When running Roxio on a deployed image, a meesage box pops up saying "The trail version has expired."

Can someone please tell me how I can fix this. Are there instruction on how to include Roxio in a image?

Thanks in advance.

You're running an OEM (Dell) version on your computer. I honestly don't know what Dell have included or omitted in that.

My point was that you have done a 'registry clean' (with Norton OBC or similar) which has left you with the 'trial version'.

Backing up is another matter entirely - most people here will use either Acronis or Ghost for disk imaging

First, EULA for OEM software does not allow you to deploy a OEM product via imaging. Also, our OEM software is tied to each system's hardware ID and you will not able to use it if it is deployed on other system through imaging.

The VLP version of our software is designed for corporate environment and will support deployment through imaging. You can contact our Enterprise Sales group and explore your upgrade options.

One thing that may have slipped your mind

Did you set the folder options to show hidden and system files?

If they're still hidden you will get a severe hiccup as the app won't be able to add them
