TakeTwo was last seen in V5 and to my knowledge only works on Win9x???

Is that what you actually have?

If so, you need a boot disc and the emergency recovery disc. That last one has the Recover.exe on it.

An alternative, if you have lost the emergency disc or it is unusable, would be to format and reload your Operating System and ECD 5. You can restore from there.

It's been quite awhile since I used Take Two, but the critical thing is to have drivers for your CD drive (if you need to access it) and then the "Restore.exe" program. (At least I think that's the name.) What version of Windows are you running? And do you have Take Two installed?

If you're running Windows 98, then you can simply format a diskette and set the option to make it bootable. If you're running a newer version of Windows, like 2000 or XP, I don't believe they have all the files required to make a bootable diskette. In that case, you could download a copy of FreeDOS and put that on a diskette. Then, if you have Take Two installed, start it up and tell it to make a rescue diskette and it should add the necessary files to the diskette.

But, let us know what version of Windows your running and if you have Take Two still installed. Also, can you read anything off your old Take Two boot diskette?

I'm quite sure I had Take Two running on Windows 2000 without any problems. XP is where it got problematic, and thats when Roxio removed T2 with ECDC 5.1. (Actually, the installation of 5.1 would uninstall T2 if it found it.)

You didn't answer the questions from above. Can you read anything off of your old recovery floppy disc? In particular, can you read the Recover.exe file? Also, do you still have the Easy CD Creator 5 CD from which you could install Take Two to another PC? If so, then I told you above how to create a new floppy. Download the diskette image from Freedos.org, then you can use that diskette as the base for your new Take Two recovery diskette either by copying the recover.exe file to it, or, if you have a PC running Take Two, start Take Two and tell it to make a recovery diskette and use the Freedos diskette.

You need either a PC running Take Two, or the recover.exe file. So please let us know whether you can read the recover.exe file from your old diskette, or if you have a PC running Take Two.
