Video Copy & Convert Trim Does Not Trim Audio

evergreen97

Question

Hello,

I tried to use Video Copy & Convert to trim (trimmed beginning and ending crud off a set of PBS shows) a batch of dvr-ms files and transcode them to WMV9 640x480.

The trim appeared to work. After completing 2 pass VBR transcode of the batch, the resultant files (in WMV9) have the video trimmed, but the audio starts from the original starting point.

Is this a bug? Are there any known workarounds (batch transcode capability of Video Copy & Convert is something I would like to use).

if you choose it to output to a format other than WMV9 640x480, do you still experience the same issue?

I trimmed a dvr-ms file and the audio was trimmed along with the video. Don't think it's a bug.

Note that I was doing this as a "batch", try it with more than 1 movie in the queue, i.e., add and trim multiple dvr-ms "movies" in Roxio Video Copy & Convert, then transcoded them as a batch - does it work for you? I am able to reproduce the issue.

Not sure, don't know???

As a test, pull the file into VideoWave and use the Split function and delete the unwanted portions.

Then use the Output As function to make the file.

Let us know how that works out.

Will try both this weekend and report back.
